Payroll Reporting under a Temporary Salary Reduction Plan
The State Retirement Agency understands that at various times in order to deal with budget constraints many of our participating governmental units have instituted furlough or temporary salary reduction plans. How you report your payroll data to the Retirement Agency is critical during the implementation of these plans so as to minimize impact on pension benefits. The information below should be used as a guide for reporting payroll under a furlough or temporary salary reduction plan.
Unused Sick Leave
This video provides retirement coordinators the information and resources to accurately report and certify unused sick leave for retiring members.
Note: regulations do not apply to members of the Judges Retirement System or Legislative Pension Plan.

Board Minimum Standard Hours
The minimum standard hours reported for a member cannot be less than the following as established by the SRA Board of Trustees:
Leave of Absence
This video provides retirement coordinators the information to assist members planning a leave of absence. During this video the agency will explain the different types of leaves of absence and their impact on a member’s retirement account, and identify the responsibilities of the member, the retirement coordinator and the retirement agency before, during, and after any leave period. We will also identify the resources available to retirement coordinators.
