All calendar year 2022 tax statements for payees of the Maryland State Retirement and Pension System will be mailed no later than January 31, 2023. Challenges experienced by the US Post Office may cause a delay in delivery for some payees. In case of postal delays, the following options can help you access your IRS Form 1099-R.

How to request a duplicate tax statement

Follow the instructions below to obtain a duplicate 1099-R form using our secure website, email, letter or telephone.

mySRPS: The fastest way to obtain a duplicate IRS Form 1099-R is through mySRPS. Tax statements for calendar year 2022 will be available online by January 31, 2023.

Your 2022 1099-R as well as those from the past four years are available for viewing and printing under the “My Documents” tab on mySRPS.

Click here to sign in to mySRPS or to register as a new user. If you’ve already registered, you may view and print your 2022 1099-R as soon as it is posted to mySRPS. If you have not registered you must request a registration code to be mailed to your home address and register for mySRPS before you can access to your 1099-R forms.

Email: After January 31, 2023, you may request a duplicate 1099-R by email at sra@sra.state.md.us. An email request must include your full name and the last four digits of your Social Security number.

Your duplicate 1099-R form will be emailed to your email address on file with the Maryland State Retirement Agency. If you do not have an email address on file with the Retirement Agency, or you wish the statement to be emailed to a different email address, please make sure to include an electronic image, such as a JPEG or PDF, of your hand-written signature with your email request.
